House Guest’s winter/early spring menu comes as an entirely new package, rethought and reworked into an exciting new array of flavours and experiences. “As everybody knows, House Guest is a party, and we want to bring that atmosphere to the dining room,” says new chef Jimmy Stewart,  “So we revamped the food and made it more accessible to people. We made the menu very personal – it’s a direct representation of my career.”

Tucked upstairs in their Cordova and Abbott Street studios, The Sequence Group is a local, full service production doing big things in the world of animation and live action projects. With clients spanning from Warner Brothers, Microsoft, and Disney, with work on projects like Halo andEnd Game under their belt, their varied artistic style and creative focus has, clearly, paid off well. "It's really about creating a fun, cool space for people to come and work, rather than a job where you go punch in," says Ian Kirby, founder and owner of the company. Day to day, the team relishes in creative freedom, and each member contributes to the company's well-appreciated, painterly style.

Sometimes things happen quickly, especially when it just feels right. That's the case with L'Atelier Home's new expansion next door, a collaborative effort between the home decor destination and a new concept womens clothing store, Artemisia. As soon as Artemisia owner Parvaneh and L'Atelier's Linda met and started discussing ideas, it just seemed like a good fit, and things fell together quickly.  "We met a couple months ago," explains Linda, "It seemed like a great idea. It was always in the back of my head -- to have clothing, furniture, and home decor."
