An Afternoon of Bearded Gentlemen at Pourhouse Beard appreciation has become a passion for a few at Pourhouse. That's why on the last Monday of every month, they have decided to invite bearded comrades to gather and just ʻbeʼ. Starting February 27, from 4pm - 7pm, Pourhouse will host An Afternoon Gathering of Bearded Gentlemen. The Chef will prepare delicious beard friendly snacks (on the house). Enjoy the company of other bewhiskered chaps. There will be discussions on the benefits of beards, beard maintenance, bearded ladies, as well as other beard and non-beard related gentlemanly topics of conversation. Come enjoy an afternoon of nosh and libations with other men that share your values ... men that just want to be men.  -

 45 ml (1 1/2 ounces) Plymouth gin 15 ml (1/2 ounce) Aperol 25 ml (3/4 ounce) fresh lime juice Dash simple syrup 10 ml (1/3 ounce) fresh passion fruit purée Float Fernet Branca Fill a Collins glass with crushed ice. Add a metal swizzle spoon. Add all ingredients (except Fernet) while churning with swizzle spoon to mix. Crown with more crushed ice. Hold a spoon directly over the drink, rounded side up, and gently pour Fernet Branca over the spoon, creating a "float" on top of the drink. Garnish with lime zest. - Beggar's Banquet at Old Boneta

An Intimate Night of Multidisciplinary Performance with Rodney DeCroo Gachet Salon is proud to present a record release concert for Rodney DeCroo’s new album Allegheny this Saturday February 25, 2012. The Allegheny features recordings of 8 poems written by Rodney dealing with his early childhood and adolescence in a coal mining town just outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Producer Rob Malowney recorded Rodney reading the poems and then composed and recorded music for each piece. The title is based on the Allegheny river which winds through DeCroo’s childhood home of western Pennsylvania, merging with the Monongahela River at the heart of Pittsburgh to become the Ohio River.
