Open Today in Gastown: NU GreekWritten by Administrator , on Friday, 30 March 2012 15:01Nu Greek is now open at 332 Water in Le Magasin! An extension of the two other NU locations in Vancouver, this newest space is set to be the core bakery for the three; Baklava muffins, cherry tarts, greek cookies, and housemade pita will be made from scratch daily, all baked in-house in this micro-bakery and souvlaki restaurant, beautifully renovated with reclaimed wood from Vancouver artist Pamela Masik's studio. Restauranteur Harry Kambolis (who also owns Raincity Bistro and "C") wanted to create a Greek bakery with a modern twist. The result: oregano and lemon flavoured pitas to wrap around mouth-watering souvlaki, octopus and romaine salad, and breakfast items. You can even order octopus and salmon, if you want to adventure beyond the variety of classic meats. Also to look forward to: focaccia pizzas and a liquor license in the coming months!
